Classic Carrot Cake
Ingredients
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 1/2 cups Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 cup Vegetable Oil
- 3 Large Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 3 cups Shredded Carrots
- 1 cup Chopped Walnuts
- Grease 9″x13″ pan.
- Set oven to 350 F and begin heating.
- Add flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon to mixer bowl.
- Whisk until well combined.
- Add oil, eggs, and vanilla.
- Mix on medium speed until incorporated–about 20 seconds (batter will be thick).
- Add carrots and walnuts.
- Mix for another 20 seconds.
- Spread into pan.
- Cook in pre-heated oven for 40 minutes.
- Cool on wire rack for at least one hour.
